Last week I had the pleasure of capturing these two lovebirds in a very special location for them.

Having grown up in Lawrencetown, Andrew and Akayla are the epitome of high school sweethearts. On the day, Akayla and Andrew were such a delight to photograph and were so naturally affectionate with one another, showing off their dance moves and taking in the scenery at Lawrencetown Beach. They regaled me with tales of their times there together, and how Andrew and his brother still surf there; even in the winter months!

When choosing a spot for their engagement session, I love to communicate to my couples that they should first chose somewhere has meaning and memories for them. There is a comfort and ease to the session as they know their way around and can share these stories with me as we take a trip down memory lane together.

When I think of these images, I hope they’ll continue to evoke beautiful memories of their time there together.
