Caitlin and Alex live on Vancouver Island, but having grown up in Nova Scotia, they are another one of my couples that are returning the Maritimes for their wedding this year. Over Christmas, they were back in town and so, one glorious afternoon, I met them for a wander around the Downtown area.

Often when you think of Boho inspired weddings, there will be earthy colours, flower crowns and macrame gowns but we wanted to shine a spot light on the concept of an elegant full experience, multi-day wedding using these beautiful heritage yurts and stretch tents. The location we opted for was the Annapolis Valley in Autumn, where nature meets modern luxury.

When Chelsea and Brent first reached out to me to discuss their plans for a Nova Scotian wedding in 2020, I felt immediately like we’d know each other for years.
