I got the phone call to join Melissa Kew Photography on this gorgeous wedding only the week beforehand so, I hadn’t yet had the chance to meet Lauren and James, but I can tell you that these two are the sweetest, most welcoming couple and they had their day was filled with love, laughter and tears. Lauren & James truly executed the most beautiful Nova Scotia backyard wedding this summer, overlooking the Minas Basin.

The girls started by getting ready at The Clock Makers Inn in Windsor, NS and when we arrived the room was already buzzing with excitement. Whilst Melissa went off to capture their getting ready photos, I was exploring the property and capturing all of Lauren’s gorgeous accessories.

Selena Marchand and Lakehouse Salon were on hand to give every girl a gorgeous look for the day but once everyone was ready, Lauren had the sweetest first look with her dad on the covered veranda outside.

Their ceremony and reception occurred on a Private Estate just outside of Hantsport which meant that the day ran like a dream; every guest was able to take part in the sweet lawn games that Lauren and James had prepared for them and enjoyed an incredible view of the Minas Basin.

Using my trusty Contax 645 for this occasion was a total dream and Richard Photo Lab developed and scanned each image within only a few days of getting the film.

Congratulations Lauren & James, I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
