My journey back to Scotland and experiencing the beauty of Yester Estate

Last Autumn, I was given the opportunity to travel back to Scotland to experience the beauty of Yester Estate during one of it’s most colourful seasons. Situated just outside of Edinburgh, this is estate has been lovingly brought back to life by new owners who have dedicated their time to restoring the old buildings and acres of farmland that surround them. So I jumped in one of their Land Rovers and took a tour of the estate alongside their Property Manager. Our first stop was to tour the grounds surrounding the Walled Garden where they have dedicated a space to Tara – their 400kg Elephant statue that represents their commitment to ELEPHANT FAMILY, an organisation that builds and preserves the environment for Asian Elephants.

It was a quintessential Scottish Autumn day, with patches of glorious sunshine and blue skies followed by low clouds that just intensified the colours on show.

I can’t wait to share more with you when it comes to our editorial but in the meantime, be sure to scroll down and see the cutest video of their little piglets coming to say hello, and coming face to face with the magnificent Jock (their Highland Bull) who welcomed me to Yester Estate.

XOXO
