Jenna and Julien celebrated with their closest friends and family in style last summer. From the moment that we connected, it was clear that they were going to be planning an epic and intimate wedding in Halifax. With a keen eye for fashion, beautiful details, and their guest’s experience at the forefront, this wedding was one of the most unique I’ve had the pleasure of capturing. This amazing couple opted to say “I-Do” while overlooking beautiful George’s Island onboard one of J Farwell’s luxury sailing yachts…

J + J created an iconic Haligonian experience by hiring the lovely team at J Farwell – a sailing company that specialises in private charters and excursions around Halifax Harbour. Think luxury meets local.

We gathered first at The Muir Hotel for some getting ready portraits, followed by a sweet first look around some of our favourite spots in Halifax, before wandering down towards the boardwalk. It was. a hot and humid summer’s day and the feeling of being back on the ocean, with an exquisite backdrop, was heavenly. Summer is truly when Halifax comes to life. Endless sunsets, the clinking of glasses and live music fill the ocean air. This celebration was full of emotion, excitement, and simply brimming with love.

As the bride and groom exchanged their vows on the bow of the yacht, their wedding was a true testament to all of the unique possibilities available to couples planning a Halifax wedding. This was a visually stunning destination wedding right in the heart of Nova Scotia, blending timeless elegance with natural beauty and a touch of local flair!
