Porches, Puppies and of course – the pandemic. What I learnt from this intimate portrait session.

Sometimes, our immediate plans fall to one side. This session was the perfect example of how a location change can make all the difference! Ashleigh, Sean, and their adorable pup Hank had originally considered heading to one of their favourite beaches here in Nova Scotia to capture these portraits, but when timings fell through and the pandemic altered things once again, we opted to do something a little closer to home. They had recently refurbished their front porch, which became the perfect backdrop one evening late last year. There’s something so incredibly special about capturing images within your home space; the comfortability and ease at which things seem to unfold can offer such warmth and provide you with beautiful memories for years to come.
