This Pugwash wedding in Nova Scotia felt like something of a dream. Vintage touches, Chanel details, and the most incredible sunset left me feeling as if I’d just stepped onto the set of a beautifully curated Italian escape, with cherub babies and all.
There’s love, and then there’s a Hannah and Darren kind of love. We immediately clicked and they were drawn to the editorial feel of my work; what a dream! Some clients just lean in, understand and trust the process of creating, and are open to any suggestion made. Their wedding was a beautiful blend of organic and vintage, old meets new, paying homage to their love of travel, exquisite decor, and fabulous food.
Driving into Pugwash, and seeing Thinker’s Lodge overlooking the beach, I was transported and immediately understood why my couple had chosen this as the backdrop to their big day. Steeped in history, Thinker’s Lodge and the accompanying Lobster Factory have been lovingly restored but still hold so much charm. Uninterrupted views of the ocean and the peacefulness of the small village created the most alluring effect. The sun finally set and Gourmet Gab served up the most decadent 4 course Italian-inspired meal. That’s the thing about weddings… when they’re good, they’re really good. And Hannah and Darren’s wedding was certainly one to remember.
