Sweet Downtown Summertime Sessions with the Kim Family
During quarantine, it was impossible to imagine what my summer would entail; with so much uncertainty, ups and downs, I was unsure of how often I would be out doing what I love; capturing real-life little love stories.
The Kim Family reached out to me once the province had begun to allow photographers like me to shoot again, and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this session. In one of our favourite downtown locations, The Halifax Public Gardens, there was plenty of space for the boys to run around and take it all in. We stopped at all of the iconic locations from the little arches, to the fountains, the boat shed, bandstand and the coffee house with these three boys leading the way; each one of them taking turns in assisting me with my meter readings!
It was the perfect (re-)beginning to my 2020, and this family was just the sweetest. Being able to spend a summer evening capturing these memories on film is by far one of the most cherished moments from 2020 for me.
