This Summer, I decided to visit some of my favourite wedding vineyards in Nova Scotia.
Join me as we take a trip to the inspiring Annapolis Valley!
There are so many options to choose from if you’re considering a wedding in one of the vineyards of Nova Scotia; all offering a unique experience.
With my summer weddings on hold, I thought what better time to head back to the Annapolis Valley and visit three of my favourite vineyards and get to meet the incredible teams behind these iconic venues. Of course, I took my trusty camera along with me so that I could bring you on this journey with me. Be sure to scroll to the bottom for all of the facts and figures for each venue.
My day began at Grand Pre Wines, who proudly hold the title of being Nova Scotia’s oldest farm winery here. With lush gardens and immaculately tended vines, it would be so easy to simply relax in their Le Caveau restaurant or on the cobblestone courtyard. This venue really does exude European charm around every corner.
Next on my day trip was the incredible Lightfoot and Wolfville, who have created a luxurious and intimate space for visitors to enjoy. With modern architecture, breathtaking spaces to get ready on your wedding day and Nova Scotia’s largest portfolio of European vinifera (old world wines), it’s easy to see why in the last three years they have become one of the province’s go-to venues for vineyard weddings.
Finally, I stopped in at Benjamin Bridge. In all of it’s newly renovated glory, I was finally able to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine and take it all in. Benjamin Bridge is located in the heart of the Gaspereau Valley on the Bay of Fundy, with rolling hills and river access, the cool climate bears an uncanny affinity with the Champagne region of France. Their speciality – of course – sparkling wines.
