OK, So this is an exceptional moment for me. This year, I headed across the country to Vancouver to join my friends at Kathryn Bass Bridal document and celebrate their 2020 collection. Here’s what we had to say about this session…
There’s something so quintessentially sweet about seeing little girls play dress up when they’re young and imagining their own wedding day. Some of my favourite photographs are of flower girls who see their sisters or cousins the moment those dresses are put on. We wanted to harness those fleeting memories and bring to life something that was elegant yet carefree and fun-loving. This editorial focussed in on those little moments between sisters who are “dressing up” like they used to when they were younger; trying on bridal gowns, ornate jewellery, spritzing perfume and playing with makeup.
This editorial is really paying homage to the bond of sisterhood, showcasing some of the more playful moments within that unique relationship. Captured completely on film, this session was lovingly brought to life and features some beautiful designs from Kathryn Bass Bridal’s 2020 collection.
From modern to romance, and all points in between, Kathryn Bass Bridal’s passion for ethically produced wedding dresses drives them to create something that is not only beautiful, but a gown that you can be truly confident in. Not just in how it makes you look on the outside, but how you feel on the inside.
